Snowlow Policy

December 3, 2024

REMINDER TO ALL RESIDENTS:

1. The plows are called out when an accumulation of 2 or more inches of snow has fallen. Plows are not sent out until the snowfall has stopped, unless it is an extended snowfall of greater than 6 inches. Plows will not be sent out during a time when it is determined that poor visibility would make plowing dangerous. The Township is not responsible for; snow thrown in driveways, repair or replacement of mailboxes, fences, etc., damaged by thrown snow or equipment hitting the above objects, or damage to landscaping done within the right-of-way.

Remember: It is against the law to plow snow from your driveway across a public road. Also permanent structure or items other than mailboxes cannot be in the Road Right of Way (ROW). The Township is not responsible for replacement of items such as rocks, flowers, posts, stacks, flags etc.

2. Please clear the area around your blue 911 address sign so that the signs are very legible from the street. Emergency personnel use these address signs to quickly identify the correct address in need of emergency assistance.  If the sign is blocked from view by tall grass or brush, it may take additional time for them to locate the correct address.

 Thank you for your cooperation.
